'Light-o-rama' is a PC-based software which allows you. It's made by a few buddies of mine, but the result is outstanding. .The present invention is directed to clock-signal distribution circuitry and to a method of distributing clock signals from a plurality of sources to a plurality of receivers. The present invention is an improvement over the invention of U.S. Pat. No. 4,975,590 entitled Clock Distribution System, filed Dec. 23, 1990 in the names of J. D. Crocker and L. S. Dill, which is hereby incorporated by reference herein. Distribution networks for distributing clock signals typically include a clock signal source which provides clock signals at different frequencies to a plurality of receivers. The receivers normally receive the clock signals from a central distribution system and are arranged to operate at the same frequency or frequencies as the clock signal source. Typically, the receivers include a circuit coupled to the central distribution system which develops an output clock signal having the same frequency as the clock signal which is provided to the receivers. If the clock signals are at different frequencies, then multiplexers are commonly used to multiplex the clock signals of different frequencies into a single distribution network, and receivers are arranged to provide different clock signals to the central distribution system. In the past, the clock signals provided to the receivers were typically derived from the same clock signal source. In a newly built system, or if existing systems are upgraded, it is usually desired to provide existing receivers with a clock signal having a new frequency, not the clock signal of the original frequency. In the past, it has been difficult and time consuming to replace existing receivers because no simple replacement could be devised. There is also a need for a clock distribution network which can be constructed in the same manner at one location as that at another location. For example, a clock distribution network can be constructed in one area of a plant and the same network can be quickly implemented at other areas of the plant. The above mentioned problem with the prior art has been solved by the clock-signal distribution system of the present invention. In addition, the present invention includes a novel method of distributing clock signals from a plurality of sources to a plurality of receivers. The novel clock-signal distribution system and method includes a plurality of clock signal sources, a clock signal distribution means, a plurality of receivers, and a plurality of output means. The clock signal sources provide 3e33713323
